Students are expected to take responsibility when using equipment and materials, to respect copyright and license agreements, and to practice ethical behavior when using information. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the NDS Library Media Center to explore opportunities for personal growth and expression and to collaborate with peers and staff as inquisitive and independent learners. Students may be asked to leave the library or receive disciplinary actions for noncompliance with rules.
Circulation Policies - Books and periodicals may be borrowed for a two-week period. Students may renew books once, for popular books, and up to three times for older, or not as popular, books . It is the student's responsibility to renew or return materials on time. Students with outstanding library obligations will be required to clear those obligations before borrowing additional materials.
Newspapers and reference items are for use within the library only.
Payment for Lost and Damaged Books or Media
If an item is lost or damaged payment of replacement value of the item or compensation of equal value is expected. Students may lose borrowing privileges during this time until the item is rectified.
